Italy Tour 12 Days Sept 9th

Tour Pisa. Tuscany, Chianti, Amalfi, Roma

Day One, Departure

Departure from Usa from the airport that you prefer considering the necessary connections to arrive in Pisa in the best way. The reason that we suggest to arrive in Pisa are to have the best way to run your itinerary as below illustrated.

Day Two, Arrival in Tuscany

Arrival and pick up at Pisa Airport. Move to Pisa centre by limo and short visit of the famous Pending Tower and other monuments at Piazza Dei Miracoli and then light lunch on your own. After move toward to Florence at the hotel. Free resting afternoon and evening after overnight flight.

Day Three, Chianti area

After breakfast you will move by limo to Chianti area for a visit of this beautiful part of Tuscany stopping in a wine cellar estate where you’ll taste the best Chianti red wine along with home-made snacks. Joining this excursion, you will have the chance to spend a relaxing day and be enchanted by the colors and perfumes of Chianti countryside, where all the streets lead to a cellar, to a castle or to a farm. You could spend all the day here or in the afternoon move to Siena, the Medieval town with the suggestive Piazza del Campo famous for the Palio and for being one of the most splendid examples of Gothic civil architecture in the world. Dinner at your own in Siena or in Florence. At the end return to the hotel.

Day Four, Florence

This day will be dedicated to the discovery of this magnificent town through a specialized guide who will show you the historical streets of Florence, the Duomo with the Giotto’s bell tower, the Baptistery with its golden bronze doors including the famous Porta del Paradiso and, lastly, the Cathedral, with its inner mosaics. Florence is synonymous of the Uffizi Gallery, impossible being in Florence and not dedicate at least an hour of your time to visit one of the most famous art galleries in the world. During the tour the guide will take you to admire the most famous works of art of Michelangelo, Botticelli, Giotto, Raffaello, Masaccio, Cimabue and Leonardo da Vinci. In the afternoon free time for an individual visit of the town and Accademia Museum, with the most famous masterpieces of Michelangelo, including the world famous original statue of the David, or for shopping.

Day Five, Florence – Sorrento

In the morning a limo will pick up you at your hotel and bring you to the railway station where you’ll take a fast train (Frecciarossa) to Naples (it takes 3 hours). Arrival in Naples and transfer by limo to your hotel in Sorrento. Free time for a first individual discover of the town and then in the evening welcome dinner at I Giardini di Tasso restaurant in the heart of the historical centre of the town.

Day Six, Amalfi Coast

This day, which will be dedicate to visit the Amalfi Coast, will be very special because, visiting Positano, Furore, Praiano, Amalfi.Atrani and Ravello, you will discover and breath the magic atmosphere of the “Amalfi Coast” which welcomes you with

generous palette of colour. It is not just sea. Delightful villages perched on the slopes, gaze upon steep tongues of land embraced by chestnut trees, breathtaking views, olive and citrus orchards all the way down to turquoise water and stories of love and the sea. All this while you will visit these villages all eager to experience its legendary and seductive charms. The lunch will be served in one of these places when you will be need to stop and enjoy the unveiling of culinary secrets and recipes that have pleased the distinguished tastes of some of the world most noted celebrities through the years. You will visit the villages which are indicated in progression with a stop at half day in Amalfi to visit then famous Duomo and its enormous variety of master pieces of art and religious of many centuries. Then stop to Restaurant “Zaccaria” for a special sea food recipe. After move up the Ravello Village which is considered the Terrace on the paradise and sea. Return at the hotel in Sorrento for a evening at your own. You will not need a local guide for this day because the driver, due to his very good speaking English, will help you for any information you may need to know/

Day Seven, Capri

After breakfast our driver will pick up you from hotel with Van limousine and move to the harbour to take the hydrofoil for the day on the Isle of Capri. Once there, a private limousine will take you for a tour of the isle, stopping at Anacapri Village to visit Villa San Michele or in alternative you may go with chairlift up to Monte Solaro Mountain(24 minutes round trip plus the stop up there) then down to the Bleu Grotto, where you may visit if you like and weather permitting, the most famous cave of the world. Lunch in a typical restaurant near Blue Grotto and after it the limousine will drive you down to Capri Village where you will have free time to visit the famous Shopping Street “Via Camerelle” and “Punta Tragara”, a stunning view on the famous Faraglioni Rocks and where during the last war world in 1943 the Allied forces, guided from general Mongomery, based their head quarter. At the end of the visit the limo will take you back to the harbour. Return back to Sorrento and rest of the day at your own. At 9,00 move to the Theatre Tasso for the “Musical Shaw” with traditional Neapoletan Songs and dancers group.

Day Eight, Pompeii

This day will be dedicated to a short guided visit of the worldwide known excavation of Pompeii, the most visited ‘open-air museum’ of the world. Crossing Porta Marina, we you will be plunged into the past, walking through Decumano Massimo, Piazza del Foro, the ruins of temples and basilicas and culminating in a tour of the house of Vetti with its impressive Pompeian paintings. At the end of the visit return to the hotel. Free afternoon with possibility to visit a work shop of inlaid wood work for half hour. Back to hotel free time until 7,30 and move to the well known restaurant Il Buco for the firewall dinner. After dinner, if you wish have the last walk thru the historical centre of Sorrento only 200 yards from your hotel to breath the magical attraction of Sorrento by night

Day Nine, Sorrento – Rome

After breakfast pick up at the hotel and move by limo to Rome. At half way you might stop in Montecassino for a short visit of the Abbey and have lunch in a typical restaurant of Colli Romani area tasting typical roman dishes and wines. Then continue to Rome and once there, the driver will leave you there and will return to Sorrento. The rest of the day will be at your own. You will have also time to visit on your own the famous “Spanish steps” and Via Condotti were you may visit

all the shops with the most famous Italian cloths designer like Armani, Missoni, Prada and many more. I also would suggest to spend the evening on the site of “Trevi Fountains” where you may pull the coins in and express your wishes; and finally, being around the site many typical roman restaurants, you could have the dinner there before return at the hotel

Day Ten, Rome

In the morning guided visit through the most significant, cultural and religious areas of the Vatican Museums and Sistina Chapel. The guide will lead you through the world-renowned art collections of the Vatican Museums up to the astonishing Sistine Chapel and into the impressive St. Peter’s Basilica.

Rest of the day on your own to explore the eternal city with its grandiose monuments and churches, with its fine art works as well as the many small cobblestone streets and squares that make of Rome a living museum of history.

Day Eleven, Rome

In the morning guided visit of Coliseum, the most famous building of the Roman Empire, home to many games featuring gladiators and wild animals. In the afternoon free time for shopping in this city that has such a tradition in elegance and good taste and firewall dinner in a typical restaurant in Trastevere.

Day Twelve, Departure

After breakfast, transfer by limo to Fiumicino airport in time to take your flight to Usa with your luggage full of unforgettable and wanderful memories.
